What You'll Do:
- Ensure safe and timely collection and delivery of cargo to and from designated locations.
- Perform loading and unloading of cargoes whilst checking conditions of cargoes and reporting any damages or discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
- Review orders before delivery, obtain the endorsement of delivery from customers, and accept cash on delivery whenever applicable to ensure that orders are complete.
- Submit delivery orders and cash collected to the transport coordinator and/or authorized personnel in the absence of the transport coordinator.
- Check availability and ensure replenishment of stretch film, pallet jack, and trolley before delivery.
- Inspect assigned trucks periodically and report any abnormalities or mechanical failures to the transport administrator to arrange for repair and servicing.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class 4 driver's license.
- Able to drive a 24 ft chiller truck.
- Must be familiar with Singapore roads.
- Experienced with the Keppel Distripark operations is a distinct advantage.
- Able to read and comprehend basic English.
- Possesses basic Math skills.
- Must pay attention to the details.
- Physically fit to lift goods.
- Familiar with the use of pallet jack.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues and customers in basic English.
- A diligent and excellent team player with the flexibility to extend support during manpower shortages and with a commitment to collaborate with other functions of the Company.
